~
Taunting your Berserks in the initial 60 seconds of the game will replace them with Heron Guards.
~
Simple difficulty or higher, the taunting of Mazz in the initial 60 seconds of the game will activate varying XP levels for the enemy units. XP given is dependant on difficulty level played. This is intended for you Uber Masochists out there. ;o)
~
Losing your Missile Units may incur the wrath of unknown enemy forces. This only applies after the 60 seconds allowed to remove units on Normal difficulty or higher. This also applies for each type of missile unit.

+ + Requiem Level Hints + +
Mazzarin's mana based Concussion Dream is best used at long range, targeting the last enemy in a long line. The White Cystal allows for rapid firing of Concussion Dreams and imparts great overall resistance bonuses while it has charges remaining.
~
Mazzarin's mana based Nova Dream is effective when surrounded by enemies. With full mana, hit |ispecial|p and it takes the place of his Dispersal Dream. The Prismatic Cystal allows for low-mana Nova Dreams and also imparts improved resistances.
~
The Heron Hero is your fastest and arguably second most powerful unit. The Purple Crystal increases sword damage 2.5x and grants 15% resistance to all attacks. This crystal will vanish after 99 attacks.
~
Heron are just as useful for 'herding' monsters as they are for melee combat. The Blue Crystal increases sword damage 2.5x and grants 15% resistance to all attacks. This crystal will vanish after 99 attacks.
~
The Mortar Dwarf`s Splash Shell does over 3x damage at over 2x the radius of a normal mortar shell but requires you to Click the Ground roughly 1/2 way to the Target. The Green Cyrstal increases resistances by 10% and vet bonus by 15 kills.
~
The Pathfinder Dwarf can call down Satchel Airstrikes with his special attack. The Red Crystal increases resistances by 10% and vet bonus by 15 kills.
~
The Strider Dwarves' strength lies in their quick speed. The Yellow Crystal increases resistances by 10% and vet bonus by 15 kills.
~
The Demolitionist Dwarves can quickly throw satchel charges and have a very high resistance to explosives. The Orange Crystal increases resistances by 10% and vet bonus by 15 kills.
~
The Pyromancers default special attack is a powerful mana based Confusion Dream. The Steady Glow Artifact, changes the special ability to a swarm of mini-fireballs and imparts explosives and fire resistances.
~
The Electromancers default special attack is a powerful mana based Confusion Dream. The Pulsing Glow Artifact, changes the special ability to a massive long-range lightning strike and imparts electrical resistance.
~
The Pyromancer and Electromancer can both carry up to 3 Artifacts each and besides being able to pick up and use each others default Artifacts, they can also find and use the new Spinning Staffhead Artifact for Whirlwinds.
~
fir'Bolg`s Hellfire Bow imparts explosives and fire resistances and is best used at very long range, targeting a lead or middle monster in a large group of enemy as they approach..
~
fir'Bolg`s Paralysis Bow imparts full paralysis resistance and can be fired at very short range. An essential attack for when your being overrun or against Myrk Giants.
~
fir'Bolg`s Incandescence Bow imparts electrical and various minor resistances. It has the effect of creating a chain-lightning attack which can damage large groups of enemies at once.
~
fir'Bolg`s Slaying Bow imparts slashing and kinetic energy resistances It does MASSIVE damage against a single target, and is best saved for Tro attacks.
~
fir'Bolg`s Bow of Strength imparts many minor bonuses and resistances. Its arrows do more than 2x damage and Does Not require use of the special key to activate. This bow will vanish after 99 shots.
~
Berserk Heroes have no Artifacts, but do have a mana charge bar. Each time a berserk swings his sword, it lowers the mana, when the mana hits 0, the berserk will then go into overdrive increasing his attack rate until mana is recharged.
~
Pay attention to the musical cues for approaching Thrall / Taken waves. The music heard at the games start will also signify The Watchers arrival later in the game.
~
The Watcher and his Taken are the most powerful foe`s you will face. Killing The Watcher wins the game, but you'll need to find additional ways to hurt him and his Taken other than just direct assaults before you can do so.
~
Beware Wraiths !! They can either Petrify your units or Drain Kill Bonuses. After healing a petrified unit you find you still cannot move it, try Taunting to break it free of its dazed condition.
~
The enemy and player units may randomly drop Artifact Crystals, Roots, Dreams, Bows, Splash Shells, etc. when killed. Try and gather as many as you can.
~
Destroyed trees and bushes may produce random amounts of roots. Look for these roots and keep your units healed. Even with your Heron`s mana based healing ability, extra roots are essential.
~
Kill Bonuses will make a dramatic difference to your unit's performance. All units will keep improving well after 30 kills - most as high as 255.
~
Only Timid through Normal difficulties are recommended for solo play. Even so, it's also recommended you save frequently and play at 1/4 speed during difficult segments.
~
If there is less than 8 players when RotD starts, you will have 60 seconds to remove unwanted units from the map if you prefer to play with only a few instead of all of them.
~
8 or more players present will activate 18 extra units. This includes 4 more Heron Guard, 4 More Berserk Heroes, 8 more fir'Bolg, 2 Demo Dwarfs, and the spawning of 4 more magical bows.
~
It can take at least 100 minutes to win on any of the difficulty settings, so load up with soda and snacks, give Mother Nature a visit, and prepare for the long haul.
