Has Wighty been keeping you down? Have you noticed a duality between the "Wight Man" who keeps detonating all your troops and the "White Man" who has been oppressing us for hundreds of years? If so, then you have come to the right place-because we are about to discuss... Appropriate Usage of your Standard Issue Wight So...What is a Wight? Essentially, it is an undead creature that moves really slowly and groans a lot. Well, what does it do? [Image] The Wight is more of a lover than a fighter: It carries no weapons-but it loves to blow up and destroy or paralyze any living or unliving creature that is unlucky enough to be anywhere near it. In fact, this is the only thing that the Wight does (so don't expect to see any "Wight Veterans" in the full version, boys and girls - at least none with kills). Are you beginning to get the feeling that Wighty is NOT someone you want to keep in the middle of your own troops? If so, good! You're on the right track. If not, I suggest you end your career as a Student of Shaolin immediately and play a game that's a little more your speed. For those of you are are still with me, I'm certain the following question is on your mind: Just what the heck should I do with my Wight? Here is my advice: Firstly, get him the HELL away from your troops. How do you expect them to concentrate with a living bomb in their midst? Secondly, you might want to send Wighty to an area of the map where he will be able to launch a surprise attack later in the game. Since one of the advantages of being dead is the ability to stay under water indefinitely, an area of deep (dark) water is a great place to stash Wighty. When your opponents decide to march a few creatures close to this watery location, you can give them a lovely surprise. Thirdly, scout with him! Sure, he's slow, but he's also expendable. In this sense he can also be used as a great distraction. Rest assured, nothing can command the attention of an opposing player better than an advancing Wight. While he or she is shifting around missile troops or weak creatures to intercept Wighty, you attack him from tha' backside. Go ahead, show him how Death Row pulls of that hoop ride!!! Fourthly, you can use your Wight to create Ghol Shock Troops. This is an advanced technique, but it can be quite a vicious surprise for an opponent. First, get your Journeyman to HEAL the Wight. You do this by selecting the Journeyman, hitting "t" and then selecting the Wight. Important: be sure not to do this the other way around. If you select the Wight and hit "t" you probably won't have any Journeyman left to select. In fact, you will probably have very little left to select period. When you heal the Wight he will melt into five Chunky Wight Bits which you can get your Ghols to pick up by selecting one of them and then selecting the Chunk you want him to pick up. Once your Ghols are armed in the fashion, they will automatically throw their Chunks at the first creature they attack. This will not result in a spectacular explosion, but it will paralyze a handful of enemy units. Remember: the Wight can be used for good or for evil... Just kidding! In truth, the Wight can only be used for PURE EVIL. It is your job, mighty Shaolin Warrior, to make sure that he does evil things to your opponent and not to you. Peace, out. -Dead Rat
