Light vs. Dark in Myth II, by SteelClasher *CMG* This is a bit tricky to do, and you can email me with any questions you have on it. This method assumes you have all the single player maps ready to be chosen (or at least the one(s) you want available, in multiplayer.) Step 1: Start up a game and go into the game options and with a multiplayer map selected, set the time to 20 minutes or more. Step 2: Click on "Use Single Player Maps". you should have a single player map selected in the game splash screen. Step 3: This part is tricky... Select either the game name or password text field and hold down the right arrowkey. Then click quickly once or twice or 3 times on the "Use single player maps" button. If you accomplished this correctly, what you will see in the splash screen is the single player map name, and the game options. THEN click the single player map that YOU want. If you have a multiplayer map at all in the splashscreen, or a single player level with NO game options in the splash screen, get back to a single player level with NO game options in the splash screen, hold the right arrowkey, and try again. What this does is overload the Myth II game interface with alternating info so that you "fool" the game that it has stopped with the correct settings. Step 4: While the game options are in the splash screen, they will be nulled out for you to change. This is normal. Click "Ok". Step 5: Start the game. When the game is started, no units appear, and it will immediately say "Game Over". Once again, this is normal. For Myth: The Fallen Lords this would be the last step and it would work. But in Myth II, you have to do the following to get it to work. Step 6: Disband the game so that you are out in the chat room, and make it again. When the game options open, you will see that it was the same as you left it, but the options are NOT nulled out. DO NOT TOUCH THE OPTIONS!!! DO NOT EVEN CHANGE THE GAME NAME OR PASSWORD! Doing so will require you to restart this whole process. Simply click "Ok" and wait for your players to join. Step 7: Light vs. Dark has only 2 start locs so the game will force only 2 teams. You may let this go random if you want to. Click "Ok" when ready. Step 8: You've done it! Now, in Light vs. Dark, the only way to win is to COMPLETELY annihilate every unit on the opposing team. It will flash "Last Man On the Hill", but that means nothing. Furthermore, any units that are scripted such as the wights in "The Wall" and the ghols in "Redemption" are uncontrollable even by the dark team captain. So in certain levels like "The Wall", both teams should team up to kill those wights so that the level doesn't end prematurely. Some units are "half-scripted" such as the ghasts on "Willow Creek". They listen to your commands but sometimes act on their own. Keep a close eye on what you do in such situations. Have fun!
